Terms of Use

1. Who we are
eziduo is a finance app for couples, a shared financial app for organising money as a couple. It is a PWA (web, Android and iOS), with no app store, installed directly to your phone's home screen. By using eziduo, you agree to these terms. eziduo is not a financial institution, does not carry out banking transactions and does not have direct access to your bank accounts. It also does not provide financial, accounting, tax or investment advice: no information, projection or goal shown in the app should be interpreted as professional advice, and financial decisions are the sole responsibility of whoever uses eziduo. The eziduo brand, source code and other elements of the service are the property of eziduo; using the app does not transfer these rights, and the data you enter remains yours.
2. Use of the service
eziduo is intended for couples and pairs who split expenses, for recording and organising spending, income, cards, goals and trips. Each member of the couple keeps their own account and password, and must be at least 18 years old, and is responsible for keeping their password confidential and for the content they enter; the link between the two accounts (household) is made through an in-app invitation, without sharing credentials. The service may not be used for unlawful purposes, to enter false data to harm third parties, to access another household's data without authorisation, to bypass security mechanisms, to reverse engineer or commercially exploit eziduo's code, design or brand, or to overload or compromise the service's infrastructure. Breaching these rules may lead to suspension or termination of the account, with advance notice whenever possible, except in cases of serious violation or risk to the security of the service.
3. Subscription and payment
The Free plan is free of charge and allows unlimited manual entry of spending, income, cards, goals and trips, with the current month's forecast, limited to 1 card, 3 goals and 1 trip active at a time. The Plus plan costs £3.49 a month, charged per couple rather than per person, and includes unlimited cards, goals and trips, forecasting up to 5 years ahead, invoice import in CSV, OFX and PDF with AI-based categorisation, and the AI Assistant. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which does not receive or store your full credit card details. The subscription can be cancelled at any time, with no penalty, directly in the app or through Stripe's customer portal; cancelling stops future charges but does not automatically refund the period already paid for, unless required by law, and Plus access remains active until the end of that period. If a payment fails, access to Plus features may be suspended until the issue is resolved.
4. Data collected
We collect the data necessary for the app to work, such as your login email, financial entries, registered cards and imported files (CSV, OFX or PDF). Imported files are sent to our server for processing. Reading the file itself is direct: CSV and OFX statements are parsed on our server without AI, and only when a new spreadsheet layout appears do the header row and a small sample of lines go through AI, a single time, to identify the columns. PDF reading uses AI to extract transactions. After that, in every format, each transaction's data (description, amount and date) goes through AI to suggest a category, merchant name, instalment and recurring subscription, and you review and approve everything before it is added to your account. The AI Assistant also sends your household's financial data to our AI provider to answer questions and, once you confirm, create new entries. eziduo does not use Open Finance and does not request access to your bank account.
5. Privacy and the LGPD
The processing of personal data follows Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD, the General Data Protection Law). Details on collection, use and data subject rights are in the Privacy Policy.
6. Limitation of liability
eziduo is provided 'as is', with no guarantee that it will be free of errors or interruptions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for financial decisions made based on information from the app, for import errors resulting from corrupted, incomplete or unexpectedly formatted files (CSV, OFX or PDF), for temporary unavailability of the service due to maintenance, third-party infrastructure failures (such as Supabase, Railway, Anthropic or Stripe) or events beyond our control, or for indirect damages, loss of profits or loss of data resulting from the use or inability to use the app.
7. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated to reflect changes to the service or to the law. Material changes are communicated within the app.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The venue of the user's domicile is elected to settle any disputes, in accordance with Brazil's Consumer Protection Code (Codigo de Defesa do Consumidor) where applicable, or otherwise the venue of the service provider's registered domicile.

This English version is provided for convenience only. The Portuguese version of these Terms of Use is the sole legally binding version. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the versions, the Portuguese version shall prevail.
