Joint account

Organise money as a couple without a joint account.

eziduo's alternative to a joint account for organising money as a couple: each of you keeps your own account, no shared balance or ownership involved.

How it works

How it works, in three steps.

  1. 1

Each of you keeps your own account and card

No need to switch banks or open a joint account. Each of you stays with the account you already have today.

  2. 2

Log or import both of your income and spending

Log entries manually or, on the Plus plan, import your statement as CSV, OFX or PDF; every entry is labelled ours, mine or yours.

  3. 3

See the couple's money in one dashboard

Spending, bills, cards and goals for both of you, together, without mixing your bank balances or asking for access to anyone's account.

Features

Features

No account to open anywhere: each of you keeps your own, and eziduo brings the couple's view together.

Each of you keeps your own account

Your account and card stay at the bank you're already with. eziduo doesn't open an account anywhere.

No access to your bank account

eziduo doesn't use Open Finance and never asks for your bank login or password. You log entries manually or import your statement.

The couple's view, without mixing balances

Spending, income, cards and goals for both of you show up together on the dashboard, but the money stays in separate accounts.

Works with any bank

One of you can be with a digital bank, the other with a traditional one, it doesn't matter. eziduo brings both together on one dashboard.

What only eziduo does

No bank access, no money moved between accounts.

eziduo never asks for access to anyone's bank account and never moves money between accounts. Each of you keeps your own account, exactly as it is today, and the couple's dashboard shows the total without merging ownership.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

You both become legal holders of the same balance, not just authorised users. In an either-to-sign joint account, either holder can move money alone, but both are responsible for what happens on the account.

No. Nubank doesn't offer a traditional joint account today. It has Espaço Família, a shared balance for up to 4 administrators, but it's exclusive to the Ultravioleta card and isn't the same as joint ownership of an account. Bank information checked in August 2026; bank products change, so confirm on the institution website before deciding.

Not any more. Banco Inter used to offer a joint account and discontinued it; today it only opens individual accounts, tied to a single tax ID.

Not a traditional one. C6 Bank has a Shared Account, where one person stays the legal account holder and invites someone else to move money with permission, which is different from both of you owning the account.

No. A Mercado Pago account is individual, tied to a single tax ID. What it has is a split expenses feature between separate accounts, not an account with two holders.

No. PicPay doesn't offer an account with more than one holder; every account is individual.

It does, but as a Joint Investment Account, built for shared investments, not a day to day checking account for the couple.

Yes, these traditional Brazilian banks offer real joint accounts, with both of you as legal holders of the balance. Opening one usually happens in person, at a branch, and there are generally two types: either-to-sign, where either holder can move money alone, and both-to-sign (or simple), which requires every holder's signature for each transaction.

It needs to be formally closed, or one holder removed, which usually requires agreement between both people and, at most banks, a branch visit. Until that happens, both of you remain responsible for the account.

No. eziduo isn't a bank or a payment institution. It organises the couple's financial view from what you log or import, without opening an account anywhere or touching anyone's money.

No. Each of you stays with the bank you're already with, even if they're different banks. eziduo just brings both of your entries together on a shared dashboard.

Choose a bank and bring both holders' ID and tax number. With a digital bank, this usually happens inside the app; with a traditional bank, you'll likely need a branch visit. The choice that matters most is the account type, either-to-sign or both-to-sign, because that's what decides what happens in a dispute, a debt or a separation.

Yes. A real digital joint account lists both of you as legal holders of the same balance. A shared account keeps one person as the sole holder and gives the other permission to move money, and an additional card just uses one holder's credit limit. The three get marketed with similar names, but only the first one is true joint ownership.

Among the banks checked here, traditional Brazilian banks, such as Itaú, Bradesco, Santander, Banco do Brasil and Caixa, remain the reliable option for a real joint account. Among digital banks, only XP comes close, but as an investment account, not a day to day current account; Nubank, Inter, Mercado Pago, PicPay and C6 don't offer real joint ownership today.
